Visualisation diagrams will need to be completed of the characters in the video game game. Evaluate how useful visualisation diagrams might be to the planning process of the video game (20 Marks)

One strength of a visualisation diagram for the characters is to establish the characters with the video games. The diagram provides a key layout of information for website and logos through visuals. This is done to establish characters pre-production. This will further help the process of planning the video game as it will allow the designs such as the different costumes of the characters for different scenarios to match the briefs for the 'family market'. The target audience would allow the visualisation diagrams of the characters to appear family friendly while conveying 'positive' characters. 

Visualisation diagrams have useful annotations to support illustrations for the target audience requirements and to show understanding of client brief. The use of annotations allows the client to understand the characters and reasons for that choice of design. 

The brief states a 'big budget' for a television campaign, the visualisation diagram would help with the ideas and styles of the characters for no only the game, but the tv campaign too s it can help to see how the characters may be viewed by the family audience in both the game and the tv campaign - outlining their collective characters and the house style to establish the themes and the colours so the website is consistent throughout. 

Visualisation diagrams can be used alongside a market research in order to gain feedback from the desired 'family market' in order to see if the characters shown visually reinforce a 'positive impact on people's health and lifestyles' in order to make sure the planning process is exactly fitted for the client brief before submitted in to the competition. 

Visualisation diagrams may not always be useful for development process of website owning to lack of interactivity and if annotations are brief then this may not be clear. The diagrams may not always be clear in terms of website structure so it is used in conjunction with a site map.

The brief states that this game needs to 'provide a new spin of popular formats with a clear USP'. Therefore by using this visualisation diagram you will be able to see the different types of visualisations of the characters.
