Explain the client requirements of this brief, outlining which are explicit, implicit and open to interpretation. (10 Marks) = 6

In the brief there are different client requirements. The client requirements of this brief explicitly tell the client that they need to create a short promotional video (implicitly gathering it should be about the zoo shoes company new footwear launch) The brief also keep the timing open to interpretation as it states it must last between 20-40 seconds and aimed at audience 8-14 years old. Gender is not specified and therefore may need to appeal to both boys and girls. The brief states it needs to be ready for the launch in 5 weeks time, implying all the explicit requirements stated this video must include within the time frame need to be checked off. The brief leaves the video open to interpretation as it doesn't implicitly say what the 'shots' need to be of . The music is open to interpretation as it says the music needs to be 'childlike' and therefore we can interpret the type of music used.

What potential legal issues will need to be addressed? Outline briefly the impact each one may have on the project and how they might be dealt with. ( 8 Marks) = 6

One legal issue may be the time that the children can be out of education to be in the film (limited due to young age range of 8-14) - This would impact the project as there may be no actors in the project that the audience can relate to so may decrease viewing of video. To resolve this, a release form/ permission can be sent as children cannot be working on a project without it. Location could be seen a problem to be kept over the course of making the video. To resolve this a
Location release form can be done so,  if in a public area, council permission generally needed, if private then the owner must sign the release form

Identify one type of project management tool that you could use to keep track of the project tasks and explain why it is suitable for this project. (3 Marks) = 2

One project management tool is a Gantt Chart to keep track of the Production scheduleas it's an easy way to follow and see the timeline of what has been completed and when/where things need to be completed, by the 5 week's tight deadline. Considering the idea of a contingency.

The film needs to be tested before it is sent to the Client for approval. Outline what type of research this is and how you could go about completing this research.

Description should mention Market Research and target audience research ( 3 Marks) = 1

The film can be tested using market research by a focus group in order to give the target audience of 8-14 years old a sample of the product in order to make the target audience aware of the brand. The company could gather feedback from the target audience and may give them last chance to change anything within the product to not only appeal to the client brief but also to make sure the product appeals to the target audience.
